MCHC & Folk Heritage Association
Here's a note from Anne Hyder of the Folk Heritage Association of Macon County on the collaboration between the two organizations who brought the 2015 Macon Heritage Day to life:
"Wonderful Partnership!
There were many compliments all day from both visitors and volunteers regarding the first partnership of the Folk Heritage Association of Macon County and the Macon County Heritage Center Boards of Director and volunteers. The event was held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 and was the third annual Macon County Heritage Day at the Cowee School.
The Folk Heritage Association of Macon County (FHAMC) coordinated the participation of many of the demonstrators who had been a part of the past Franklin Folk Festivals. Those activities joined in with the programs featured by the Heritage Board. There was something for all ages happening inside the school and activities filled the grounds outside. Thanks Macon County Heritage Center volunteers for welcoming us and allowing the event to be one that participants will be talking about for a very long time!"
